This article really sheds light on the positive mindset it takes to be part of the "Sandwich Generation." For my wife and me, we too are members of this generation. Although all of our children are grown, we still occasionally find ourselves caring for them and our aging parents at the same time.

Now, grandchildren are also a part of our famiy. We try to remember, even in the most difficult of times, that we soon will step up to take our parents place as the ones who will very likely need care from our children. So, if there was ever a time parents of the "Sandwich Generation" needed to treat ourselves right and other family members, now is that time.

There is a good article in a new magazine that I received recently called Radius. It offers good ideas to prepare for taking care of our parents. It listed documentation that I had not thought about. It can be really stressful taking care of parents, the kids, working, and running a home. I see why they are calling us the Sandwich Generation.
